Reigate and Banstead Police Safer Neighbourhood Team
Dear Residents, Welcome to the Police Update for the last week. The message includes personal fraud (Scams), burglaries, catalytic converter and vehicle thefts reported between the 16th July 2026 to 23rd July 2026. The report also includes information on arrests in the Borough. The Police Reference Number (PR) with each of the reports is shown in brackets. Meet the Beat Join PCSO Sizer and El Mellas for a Meet the Beat event at Costa Coffee at 1 Cage Yard, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 2AB between 11am and 1pm on Tuesday 28th July 2026. They will be on hand to discuss any local issues or crime prevention advice.

Arrests. There were 45 arrests in the period July 16th 2026 to July 22ndh 2026: Domestic Incident/Violent Domestic Abuse 14, Rape/Sexual Offence 2, Drugs 1, Drunk/Drug Charge 1, Prescribed Limit 2, Violent Crime in a Public Place 1, Violent Crime other 1, Harassment/Stalking 2, Crime Public Order 2, Offensive Weapon 1, Child Protection 2, Child at Risk 2, Crime Other 2, Theft 3, Master Occurrence 4*, Immigration 1, Road Related Offence 1, Fraud 1. Assault on Police 2. *A Master Occurrence is used when recording an arrest where a number of offences are recorded for one incident.
Personal Fraud (Scams) in the Borough. Records show that there have been 4 reports of Personal Fraud in the Borough during the last week. These include reports of a Victim having their mobile phone hacked and a Telephone Fraud related to Driving test dates.
Burglaries North 18/07/2026 04:30. Lackford Road, Chipstead. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of two vehicles. Method of Entry – Access has been gained through a ground floor window. Stolen: Two sets of car keys and two cars (one has been recovered). (PR 45260086350) 21/07/2026 04:00. Grange Gardens, Banstead. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of a vehicle. Method of Entry – Access has been gained through a first floor window. Stolen: Nothing taken. (PR 45260087569)
Central 20/07/2026 12:00. Sandcross Lane, Reigate. Residential Burglary. Method of Entry – Not confirmed at this time. Stolen: Not confirmed at this time. (PR 45260088112) 23/07/2026 01:00. Kingsley Grove, Reigate. Residential Burglary resulting in the theft of a Motorbike. Method of Entry – Access has been gained through the back door to the property. Stolen: Motorbike.
